Important Update: Our New Consulting Agreement Policy

We hope this message finds you well and enjoying a healthy and happy holiday season.
For many years, it has been our privilege to provide complimentary insurance guidance to everyone who reaches out to us — whether you ultimately became a client or not. Helping people understand their options and make informed decisions has always been at the heart of what we do, and we have been grateful for the opportunity to serve our community in this way.
Recent changes in the insurance industry, particularly significant reductions and eliminations of broker commissions (especially on certain Medicare Part D and other insurance plans), have made it increasingly difficult to continue offering extensive consulting services at no charge to those who choose not to purchase coverage through our agency.
As a small, independent brokerage, we simply do not receive compensation from carriers when a policy is placed elsewhere or directly with an insurance company.
With a heavy heart, we have made the difficult decision to implement a modest consulting fee for in-depth services provided to individuals who decide not to move forward with purchasing a policy through us. This change allows us to continue delivering the same high level of personalized, unbiased care to our loyal clients while remaining sustainable for the long term.
What this means for you:
- Existing Clients: If you are currently our client and continue to purchase or renew your coverage through us, nothing changes for you. Your consultations, reviews, and ongoing support remain completely complimentary. You will not need to sign the new agreement unless you choose to end our relationship and later seek consulting services without purchasing through us.
- New or Prospective Clients: Anyone new to our agency who requests in-depth consulting (such as detailed plan comparisons, custom recommendations, or application assistance) will be asked to review and sign a simple, transparent Consulting Agreement before we begin billable work. This agreement clearly explains that there is no fee if you purchase a policy through us and only a reasonable hourly fee if you ultimately decide to buy elsewhere or directly from a carrier.
We truly dislike having to make this change. Our goal has always been — and will always be — to help as many people as possible, without pressure or obligation. This policy is not about generating additional revenue; it is about ensuring we can continue to be here for you and future clients for many years to come.
